👋 Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to QuizLab, operated by EncodeLab ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the QuizLab mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms apply to all users of the app, including students of all ages, instructors, and visitors. QuizLab is designed as a safe educational platform for students from Grade 5 onwards.

🔑 Account Registration

To use QuizLab you must create an account using Google Sign-In or email and password. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
• Keep your account credentials confidential
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

QuizLab welcomes students from Grade 5 and above. Because our platform serves younger students, we require that:

• Students under 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to create an account
• Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of the app
• By creating an account for a child, a parent or guardian confirms they have read and agreed to these Terms on the child's behalf

✅ Permitted Use

QuizLab is an educational platform designed to support students from Grade 5 and above with exam preparation across O/L, A/L, and other academic levels. You agree to use it only for lawful educational purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

• Use the app to cheat in official or external examinations
• Share, reproduce, or redistribute quiz content without permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers on the platform
• Upload or share content that is false, harmful, offensive, or inappropriate for students
• Bully, harass, or intimidate other students or instructors through the platform
• Interfere with the normal operation of the app or its servers

🎓 Instructor Terms

Users who apply to become an instructor must complete the verification process, which includes submitting identity and credential documents. By applying you confirm that:

• All information and documents provided are genuine and accurate
• You hold the qualifications and experience you claim
• Quiz content you create is original or you have the right to use it
• Your content is educationally appropriate, accurate, and suitable for students from Grade 5 and above
• Your content does not contain anything harmful, offensive, or age-inappropriate
• You will not use the instructor role for commercial promotion unrelated to education

We reserve the right to reject or revoke instructor status at any time if these conditions are not met.

💬 Community & Content

QuizLab includes a community feed where users can post messages. Because our platform is used by children and young students, all community content must be safe and age-appropriate. You are solely responsible for any content you post.

Do not post content that is abusive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, spam, or that infringes on another person's intellectual property rights. We do not endorse user-generated content and reserve the right to remove any content that is inappropriate or violates these terms without notice. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.

©️ Intellectual Property

All content provided by QuizLab — including the app design, branding, original quiz questions, and software — is owned by EncodeLab and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Content created by instructors remains the intellectual property of the respective instructor. By publishing content on QuizLab, instructors grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the platform.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without prior written consent.

⚠️ Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

QuizLab is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties — express or implied — regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any content for a particular purpose.

• We do not guarantee that exam results within the app will reflect official examination outcomes
• We are not liable for any loss of data, study progress, or exam performance
• We are not responsible for content created by instructors or community members
• Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the app in the 12 months prior to the claim

🚫 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms & Conditions, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the platform in any way.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

⚖️ Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from the use of QuizLab shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

🔄 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of QuizLab after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
